ECJLL launch Jr B lacrosse in 2024

Monday, February 19, 2024

BREAKING NEWS!
The East Coast Junior Lacrosse League (ECJLL) is excited to launch Junior B lacrosse for the 2024 season. The inaugural season will feature four teams: Valley Thunder, Pictou County Snipers, Cape Breton Warriors and Metro Griffins. The league will increase the opportunity for junior age players to continue their playing career in markets that traditionally don't have junior teams.

The Jr B season will run from May 11 until June 23, concluding with the first Jr B tournament hosted in East Hants. Teams will feature athletes born in 2005-2007 with two overages per team. Players will also have the opportunity be called up to their affiliated Jr A team throughout the season.

"As lacrosse grows across Nova Scotia we are excited to expand opportunities for athletes to play at the junior level," said commissioner Brendon Smithson. "Our teams are excited to get started and see the arenas full, cheering on their home town athletes."

For more information on teams please check with your local club as each team builds their roster.

An exciting day for lacrosse in Nova Scotia.
