ECJLL Female division recognized the players and teams who made the 2025 Female Jr A season another successful one. Here are the winners of our 2025 Awards. Congratulations to all!

 

2nd Team All-Stars:

Marcey Hatfield, Saint John Rapids

Maddy Dyer, Sackville Wolves 

Samantha Taylor, Halifax Hurricanes

Molly Debay, Dartmouth Bandits

1st Team All-Stars:

Bente Van Bilsen, Sackville Wolves

Benna Hovey, Sackville Wolves

Pearce Batchilder, Eastern Shore Breakers

Maddie Hamilton, Sackville Wolves

Isa Hayward, Sackville Wolves

Kat Garland, Saint John Rapids

 

Indigenous Player of the Year: Isa Hayward, Sackville Wolves

In Hayward rookie campaign, she recorded 12 goals and 9 assists in playing a pivotal transitional role for the Wolves.  He play at both ends of the floor helped the Wolves in completing the prefect regular season and capturing the East Coast Cup in 2025.

 

Coaching Staff of the Year: Saint John Rapids

Under the leadership of Jacob Norton, Saint John Rapids finished with a .500 record (6-6) and finished 3rd place, clinching a playoff spot for the 2nd year in a row.  This was the team highest record finish in the league’s 4-year history and doubling on their total from the previous season. 

 

Rookie of the Year: Aliya Laraque, Dartmouth Bandits 

Laraque was protected by the Dartmouth Bandits before the 2025 draft.  In her rookie year, she amassed an impressive 23 goals during the regular accounting for 50% of her team goals this season.

 

Top Scorer: Bente Van Bilsen, Sackville Wolves

Van Bilsen earns this award in her senior season, following an impressive regular season leading all players with 56 points (29 goals & 27 assists) and an average of 4.67 points per game.

 

Goalie of the Year: Kat Garland, Saint John Rapids

Garland played a pivotal role in the Rapids franchise record season, boasting a .824 save percentage on 289 shots in regular season play.  Kat finished 3rd in the league in saves and a 7.52 Goals against average.

 

Defensive Player of the Year: Maddi Hamilton, Sackville Wolves

Maddi, assistant captain for the Wolves, led the way for the Wolves to a league leading 39 goals against over 12 games in the regular season.  As a defensive player Maddi also averaged 1.25 points per game on top of being a shutdown defender night in and out.

 

Offensive Player of the Year: Bente Van Bilsen, Sackville Wolves

In her final season, she led the Wolves to a prefect 12-0 regular season and finished the regular season as top scorer with 56 points leading the league in assists over the 12 games.
